LIBRARY CLOSUREJune 30, 2020
As a result of the serious and imminent threat of Coronavirus, the Redondo Beach Library Department is taking significant action to help safeguard the community and our employees. Effective at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, the Redondo Beach Public Library will close both the Main Library and the North Branch, and these closures will remain in effect until at least July 31.
Our digital services remain available to our patrons 24/7 and can be found under "Electronic Resources" and “Downloads and Streaming." Library staff has also compiled a list of free internet resources for you to enjoy.
“Library Takeout” begins on July 1st so that patrons can pick up the materials they have placed on hold. A face mask is required per state order. This is the first step of a phased reopening; modifications to days and hours of this service will be posted on the Library website.
The Library is not receiving donations of books or other materials at this time. Returned Library materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before check in.
