Single Family Trash Collection
Collection services are provided on a weekly basis.  The billing for single-family service is charged on the Property Tax Bill as an itemized charge called "City Refuse Disposal". There is no limit on the number of carts that a single family residence can utilize.

Cart Placement
To guarantee that your carts are collected, place them at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular collection day or the night before. The 35, 65 and 95-gallon carts are equipped with wheels and large handles for easy maneuvering. Please make sure that the front of your cart (where the lid opens) faces the street with the wheels against the curb spaced about 1 foot apart. If you have more trash than your gray cart will hold, you may use boxes or trash bags for the excess. Containers must be removed from the curb the evening of collection.

Single Family Recyclables Collection (blue cart)
All recyclables are commingled in the blue recycling cart.  Recyclable items include newspaper, all types of paper including gift wrap and tissue paper, shredded paper contained in a paper bag, junk mail, all types of boxes (flattened), plastics #1 - #7 (this includes styrofoam), glass jars, aluminum, steel and tin cans, plastic bags and paper gift bags, card stock greeting cards, and empty aerosol cans.
