Part I Crime Statistics
The crime statistics are updated monthly. This chart shows Part I Crime totals by Police Reporting Districts, which are small geographic areas of the city used for crime reporting purposes. The Reporting District for a particular address can be obtained from the Crime Activity Map on the website or by contacting the Crime Analysis Unit (310) 379-2477 extension 1-2635 during weekday business hours. There are eight Part I Crime categories reported. These are the same crime categories used by police departments throughout the United States and by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
