We are located through door C, of the Redondo Beach City Hall at 415 Diamond Street, Redondo Beach. We will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The passport window is closed every Friday.
In order to receive your passport you must: - Complete an application form.
- Every applicant must appear in person, including all minors.
- Present current valid identification (Drivers License, State I.D. card).
- Submit proof of United States citizenship (original certified copy of birth certificate from the State or County where birth took place or original naturalization certificate). Abstracts of Birth and hospital issued birth certificates are NOT acceptable citizenship.
- Bring in two recent passport photos.
- Pay required fees by check or money order.
How much does it cost? New fees start February 1, 2008: Passport Book fee: $75.00 for adults (16 and over), $60.00 for persons under 16. We only accept checks or money orders made out to "U.S. Department of State". Passport Card fee: $20 for adults (16 and over), $10 for persons under 16. Passport Cards are valid only for land or sea travel from the United States to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Carribbean.
Processing fee: $25 per applicant. We accept cash, check, or money order made payable to "City of Redondo Beach". This fee is collected at all acceptance facilities.
After your application has been processed it will take approximately 4-6 weeks to receive a passport from the Department of State Passport Agency. You may pay an extra $60 fee plus express mail ($16.25) going and returning for a minimum 2-3 week delivery. *As of February 1, 2008, Notarized Statement of Consent Forms are needed for children under 16.*
