How do I register for a sailing class?
Registering for a sailing class is simple. Just call the City of Redondo Beach at 310-318-0610 ext. 3399. Our sailing coordinator will assist in selecting the class that is right for you, and assign an instructor that can accommodate your schedule. Typically our classes consist of 2-3 students with an instructor. We also have private lessons. After these arrangements have been made, you can either mail or bring payment for your class into the Community Services Department located at 1922 Artesia Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90278. Checks should be made out to: The City of Redondo Beach. We do not accept cash.
I'd like to take a sailing class with another person for a reduced fee, but I don't have a partner. Can the Sailing Program help find me a partner?
Yes, we encourage people to take group lessons, and frequently have a list of people waiting to take a class with someone else. We can see if anyone waiting to take a lesson has similar availability to you and then set you up for lessons together.
Mission Statement: To enrich and improve the quality of life in Redondo Beach, by making sailing accessible to the public and providing quality instruction based on American Sailing Association curriculum.
