Veterans Park is a 6.3 acre park located at the corner of South Catalina Avenue and Torrance Boulevard.  Located on the site is the Veterans Park Community Center and the Veterans Park Senior Center. The park features grass, trees, and play equipment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Veterans Park Community Center is a 11,400 square foot historic building (formerly Redondo Beach Main Library) constructed in 1930, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Center contains an office, grand ballroom/ banquet room, mezzanine, meeting rooms, fully equipped catering kitchen, bridal room, restrooms, elevator and storage. The facility is currently unavailable while the City finds a preferred vendor to manage it. This vendor will provide art-focused gatherings; usage of the beautiful outdoor space surrounding the facility; food service; and usage of the facility at a reduced rate for residents.

The Veterans Park Senior Center is located within Veterans Park. The 4,172 square foot Senior Center includes a lobby, kitchen, main activity/dining room, secondary activity room, restrooms, storage areas, and outdoor patio and shuffleboard courts. The Center is used about 45 hours per week for senior activities.
