Perry Park is a 4.13 acre park located at Grant Avenue and Slauson Lane in Redondo Beach. The park features a Teen Center, Senior Center, Scout House, Sports field, Basketball Courts, Play Equipment, and Picnic Areas.
The Perry Park Teen Center (formerly the Perry Park Community Center), is a state of the art Teen Center with over 4,000 sq. ft. of usable space. The Teen Center includes a TV lounge, 4 pool tables, 8 game tables, 2 air hockey tables, 2 foosball tables, restrooms, kitchen and office. The center also provides other planned activities for teens 12-16 years old.
The Perry Park Senior Center is a 2,334 sq. ft. facility containing a 1,536 sq. ft. large multi-purpose room (capacity 231 assembly and 106 dining), 600 sq. ft. kitchen/multi-purpose room, and an office/card room (198 sq. ft.). Restrooms are shared with the adjoining Morris Scout House. The building is used for senior activities approximately 35 hours per week.
The Perry Park Morris Scout House is a 1,500 sq. ft. facility that includes an assembly/game room (1,080 sq. ft.), full kitchen and restrooms. Restrooms are shared with the adjoining Perry Park Senior Center. The facility houses the Explorer Scouts (4 hours per week), and senior programs (8 hours per week). The facility is used all day during the Summer for the Recreation Summer Playground Program. Various sports leagues use the facility on an occasional basis.
The Perry Park Sportsfield is a multi-purpose field containing a sports stadium with dugouts, concession/restroom building, announcer's booth, backstops, lights, and storage.
The field is too small for adult league slow-pitch softball. The outfield can be used for football practice.
Two lighted basketball courts are located within Perry Park. The courts are primarily used for open, informal basketball play. Redondo Beach Youth Basketball reserves the courts for practice during the months of December - March (approximately 16 hours per week).
