LIBRARY CLOSURE

May 1, 2020

As a result of the serious and imminent threat of Coronavirus, the Redondo Beach Library Department is taking significant action to help safeguard the community and our employees. Effective at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, the Redondo Beach Public Library will close both the Main Library and the North Branch, and these closures will remain in effect until at least June 30.

This temporary loss of access to the in-person learning opportunities that the Library provides to the community is a necessary action at this time. Our digital services will remain available to our patrons 24/7 and can be found under "Electronic Resources" and Downloads and Streaming." Library staff has also compiled a list of free internet resources for you to enjoy.

We are extending due dates during this time, so you do not need to return materials until the Library has reopened.

We will continue to provide our patrons with updates on Library service and look forward to providing service to you when we reopen. Please check our webpage for future updates.

Please visit the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health website for the single authoritative source on Coronavirus within LA County and check the City's webpage for updates.
