Prohibition on the use of Motorized Leaf Blowers
In accordance with the strategic plan goal to improve the environment, on July 10, 2018, the Redondo Beach City Council adopted Ordinance 3180-18 prohibiting the use of motorized leaf blowers, city-wide. (Redondo Beach Municipal Code Section 4-24.507(c)). The Ordinance will be effective after August 10, 2018.
HELP MAINTAIN A HEALTHY COMMUNITY AND DON’T USE LEAF BLOWERS FOR YARD CLEAN UP
Leaf blowers pollute the air we breathe and the noise is bothersome to neighbors. Because hosing off surfaces is prohibited, use a rake or broom to pick up yard waste.
