The Beach Cities Watershed Management group is currently developing a draft Enhanced Watershed Management Program Plan (EWMP) and CoordinatedIntegrated Monitoring Program (CIMP) in compliance with the MunicipalStormwater Permit issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board.The EWMP is being developed to improve and protect the quality of stormwater discharges to the Santa Monica Bay and Dominguez Channel Watershed. The Group is comprised of the cities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. The monitoring plan will be used to measure progress in achieving water quality objectives as the watershed management program is implemented.
This meeting will include a presentation providing an overview of the regulatory requirements, general approach to meeting regulatory requirements, local context and concepts being utilized in developing the watershed management program and monitoring plan for the Beach Cities. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer session and opportunity for comments.
