Currently the City of Redondo Beach only has one franchised cable television company. As of August 1, 2006, the Adelphia Cable Franchise was tranferred to Time Warner Cable. The franchise is non-exclusive which means that other interested cable companies could also build a system in Redondo Beach. Citizens also have satellite video programming providers to choose from. These services can typically be found in the local yellow pages under "Cable TV." The City’s franchise agreement with Time Warner Cable provides customer service standards for cable service. City staff members work with Time Warner staff to resolve customer issues and ensure the very best possible service to Redondo Beach citizens. We recommend that you contact Time Warner directly first for assistance. Time Warner also provides public, education and government programming on various cable channels in Redondo Beach: The Federal Communications Commission governs many aspects of cable and other telecommunications operations. The City has no regulatory control over cable modem services. The City can typically assist citizens in resolving problems or concerns, however, we recommend that you first contact Time Warner directly for assistance.
