Beach Cities Transit Monthly Passes
BEACH CITIES TRANSIT BUS PASS SUBSIDY PROGRAM
Beach Cities Transit provides a subsidy for a BCT monthly bus passes. The BCT Monthly Bus Pass Subsidy program is for eligible Redondo Beach and Lawndale residents. The subsidy is valid for the following BCT Monthly passes: General Pass, Student (K-12) and Senior/Disabled.
Persons interested in obtaining a BCT monthly pass must complete an application for a BCT Identification Card (monthly pass stickers must be affixed to the BCT ID card). Applications may be submitted by mail, email or in person. You can download an application from the BCT ID Card Application link.
PROOF OF RESIDENCY: To qualify for the subsidy you must provide proof-of-residency in the form of a current utility bill. You may bring proof-of-residency each time you purchase a bus pass or give us a copy of the required documents for our files. BCT files are updated annually July 1st.
GENERAL LAWNDALE RESIDENT SUBSIDY PASS: If you are a Lawndale resident, purchasing a BCT GENERAL reduced fare bus pass, you must complete all the requirements of the BCT GENERAL Application. The Lawndale residency subsidy is funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP).
STUDENT REDONDO BEACH OR LAWNDALE SUBSIDY PASS: If you are a student purchasing a BCT STUDENT reduced fare bus pass, you must complete all the requirements of the BCT STUDENT Application provide a current school identification card. Your parent/guardian may supply required documentation for residency. Lawndale student subsidy is funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP)
SENIOR/DISABLED REDONDO BEACH OR LAWNDALE SUBSIDY PASS: If you are a senior or disabled person purchasing a BCT SENIOR/DISABLED reduced fare bus pass, you must complete all the requirements of the BCT SENIOR/DISABLED Application. It requires current identification, such as California Drivers License/ID or Medicare Senior eligibility is 62 + years. Disabled eligibility is determined by Metro Disabled TAP ID, Medicare or SSDI. Lawndale senior/disabled subsidy is funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP)

BCT monthly bus passes can be purchased in person at Redondo Beach City Hall, Door 2 located on 415 Diamond Street, or through our mail order program.
For bus pass sales information, go to Bus Pass Sales Schedule. City Hall is closed on alternate Fridays and holidays.
You are encouraged to purchase BCT bus passes by mail. Current proof-of-residency, an order form, and a self-addressed stamped envelope are required. Passes are mailed on the 25th of the month so that you receive the pass on or before the 1st of the following month.
