Redondo Beach Playhouse

 

Located at 750 Inglewood Avenue, the REDONDO BEACH PLAYHOUSE is home to the Redondo Beach Theatre now celebrating its 22nd Season of shows. For over eighteen years the Redondo Beach Theatre programs for both the Youth and Adults have presented over 53 musical and non-musical productions, winning acclaim for providing quality arts entertainment in the South Bay.

Also home to the Redondo Beach Summer Drama Camp and most recently the Redondo Beach Junior Summer Drama Camp the REDONDO BEACH PLAYHOUSE and its staff of trained and specialized theatre professionals have brought to the camp participants a high degree of arts education since its inception in 1988. Seven week camp programs are offered during the summer for children and teens ages 6 – 16.

Owned and operated by the City of Redondo Beach, the REDONDO BEACH PLAYHOUSE seats 126 in a raked continental seating style with easy access to a well lit parking lot and street parking, both the theatre and the lots are handicap accessible. The REDONDO BEACH PLAYHOUSE is available for rental upon availability. SUMMER DRAMA CAMP 2008

The Summer Drama Camp program is a fast paced and fun filled camp offering its participants a chance to learn about all aspects of Performance Art.  Classes are offered In: Acting for the Stage, Audition Techniques, Basic Costuming, Dancing, Form Technique, Improvisation, Oral Interpretation, Resume Writing, Singing, Stage Management, Technical Theatre: Lights, Sound, Basic Set Design, Painting Techniques for the Stage and Theatre Etiquette.  NO experience is necessary to be part of the program, just a desire to learn and have fun doing so!
