Knob Hill Community Center Rules

  • All services and facilities desired by applicant are described on the application

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES

  • Groups must comply with all Department rules, regulations and directions. Make other at your event aware of rules.
  • Members of your group are restricted to the community building and parking lot. Running noise and games are not permitted.
  • Amplified sound is not allowed outside and is allowed inside only until 10:00 p.m.
  • No Bands
  • No Open flame (candles)
  • Persons must be 21 years of age or older to reserve a facility
  • The rental fee is due and payable in full two weeks prior to the reservation date.
  • A $100 refundable security deposit will be charged for all events. This deposit is to be paid by separate check. The deposit will be mailed back once you have returned the keys and the room was left in good condition.
  • The rental fee is refundable for reservations cancelled at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. An administrative fee of $25.00 will be deducted from all refunds requests.

Applicant’s Responsibilities:

  • Close and lock all doors
  • Clean up after your group, sweep floor, and deposit all trash into receptacles.
  • No nails, tacks, scotch tape, hooks, wires or similar items which will mar walls, ceilings or floors may be used. Masking tape may be used, but must be removed following event.
  • Use only flameproof decorations. Candles and open flames are not permitted.
  • No paper or plastic confetti may be used.
  • No straw or hay may be used.
  • All decorations must be removed upon conclusion of function.
  • All City property, furniture and equipment must be handled carefully and may not be removed from premises.
  • Kitchen may be used for food warming purposes only.
  • Serving area must be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Wash with soap, dry, and return all items to their proper storage area.
  • Do not leave food or other items in refrigerator or cabinets.
  • Notify the Department office (310) 318-0610 of any breakage, equipment malfunction or other problems encountered with the building or outside area
  • Facilities will be vacated promptly and left in good order at the conclusion of you event.
