2008 - Tri City Dances   PROGRAM INFORMATION: The Teen Center is a center specifically designed for teens residing in Redondo Beach, or those who attend a Redondo Beach School. We provide a fun, safe, and drug-free environment for 12-17 year old youth. The program is drop-in, non-custodial which allows the participants to stop in whenever they can, which is usually right after school. We also have a small snack bar so participants can get a quick bite to eat before heading home or while they do homework. WHERE: The Teen Center is located at Perry Park in North Redondo on the corner of Grant and Slauson –2301 Grant Avenue. We are the large colorful building located next to the basketball courts. DAYS/HOURS: The Teen Center is open Monday through Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. (Mondays, we open at 2:30), and we are closed on weekends. We offer special schedules for spring, summer and winter vacation (hours vary). WHAT WE OFFER: The Teen Center has five pool tables XBOX, PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube systems. We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to upgrade our game systems. We have many games for these systems, but you are welcome to bring your own and share w/ your friends. We also have two foosball tables and arcade video games, a ping pong table, three large televisions, an overwhelming stereo system, board games, arts and crafts, a nice patio and more. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: We offer different activities daily, not to mention dances, special food Wednesdays and trips to cool places all over the South Bay. Also, the Teen Center, along with South Bay Youth Project, hosts Tri-City Dances at Aviation Gym throughout the school year. These dances are for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who live in Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach and/or attend school in any of the three cities. School ID’s are a must! We also plan/organize several activities like snowboard trips, tournaments and excursions to theme parks! Please check regularly to find out what’s up next!
