FAQ:
How do I register for a sailing class?
Registering for a sailing class is simple. Sailing classes are typically taught as a private lesson or to a small group of 2 or 3 people. For this reason, there are not set class dates and times. Our classes can be customized to fit your busy schedule. To sign up for a class, call the Sailing Academy at 310-318-0610, ext.3399 and speak to one of our sailing instructors. They can help assist you in selecting what class is right for you and help line you up with one of our highly qualified instructors that can accomodate your schedule. After these arrangements have been made, you can either mail or bring payment for your class into the Recreation and Community Services Department located at 320 Knob Hill--Door 3, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Checks should be made out to: The City of Redondo Beach. We do not accept cash.

I'd like to take a sailing class with another person for a reduced fee, but I don't have a partner. Can the Sailing Academy help find me a partner?
Yes, we encourage people to take group lessons, and frequently have a list of people waiting to take a class with someone else. We can see if anyone waiting to take a lesson has similar availability to you and then set you up for lessons together.

Mission Statement: To enrich and improve the quality of life in Redondo Beach, by making sailing accessible to the public and providing quality instruction of American Sailing Association curriculum.
