Beginning July 1, 2019 Athens Services will be responsible for street sweeping the City. There will continue to be two sweepers operating every day, excluding holidays (see list below).

If your street sweeping day for your side of the street falls on a holiday listed below, that side of the street only will be skipped that week.  Sweeping will resume for that side of the street the following week. Vehicles will not be cited for street sweeping violations on holidays.

• President's Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day - 4th of July
• Labor Day
• Veteran's Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Day after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
• New Years Eve

Street sweeping will occur on the following Federal Holidays: Lincoln's Birthday, Cesar Chavez Day and Columbus Day.  Parking is allowed and citations will not be issued if you choose to park in the street.

On Good Friday, citations will not be issued after 12:00 PM City-wide.
