Communications Center
The Redondo Beach Communications Center is the heart of emergency service in Redondo Beach. Located in the lower level of the Police Facilities Building, the Communications Center is staffed by 12 full time and additional part time operators. The Communications Center is managed by a Police Sergeant and 4 civilian supervisors.
When a call to 911 is made from anywhere within the City of Redondo Beach, it is forwarded to the Communications Center. The center receives calls for police and fire services daily and dispatches personnel accordingly. Both the fire and police radio transmissions are generated from the Communications Center.
