| If an email address is provided, you will receive official correspondence regarding the status of your library account, such as overdue and items on hold notices, via email. This address must be checked and updated by you on a regular basis. A Redondo Beach Public Library Card will be mailed to the address you have provided. Please allow up to fourteen days for the processing and delivery of your card. If you need your card quickly, please visit either the Main Library or the North Branch Library. Upon delivery of your library card, you may begin to access the online resources and full text databases on the library's databases site by using the number printed on the back. Please stop by the circulation desk at either the Main Library or the North branch before you use your library card to borrow materials. You will need to provide photo identification and proof of your current California address (such as a current bank statement, utility bill, or credit card bill). If an applicant is 17 years of age or younger, a parent or legal guardian must accompany the minor to the library and show proof of identification and current California address before the minor may borrow materials. In order to borrow library materials, children must be able to print their first name or be at least three years of age. District libraries contain a variety of books, magazines, videos and other items. Some of these materials may offend individuals and/or families. Not all materials are suitable for all ages. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's use of the library and its materials. I agree to obey the Rules of Conduct and to be responsible for all the charges incurred for any overdue, lost,or damaged materials. In the event my card or my child's card is lost or stolen, I will notify the library of the loss or theft of the card. I accept responsibility for the selections I make for myself and selections made by my children. Please indicate whether you accept or do not accept the above statements. |
