The Friends of the Redondo Beach Public Library is an all volunteer non-profit organization, established in 1985, whose purpose is to support the library. We welcome new members. Call 318-0675 ext. 2587 to find out how to become a a member.
The "Friends at the Beach Newsletter" will keep you informed about gifts to the library as well as our fund-raising activities. Most recently the Friends of the Library partnered with the Redondo Beach Library Foundation to sponsor the "Puttin' on the Ritz" fundraiser at the Historic Library, an event which raised approximately $18,000 for Main Library Space Reallocation and Teen Area, and the North Branch Library Capital Campaign. Friends' efforts have provided materials for the library collection, deposit boxes for after hours return of materials, a self check machine at the Main Library, and the book bags provided to patrons.
