Beach Cities Transit

The Transit Division of the City of Redondo Beach Community Services Department operates Beach Cities Transit (BCT) and the WAVE services.

BCT provides local public transit services in the South Bay to alleviate traffic congestion and parking, provides connections with other transit systems, and encourages you to choose transit rather than driving alone.  Two fixed-routes, BCT Lines 102 and 109, provide convenient north/south service connecting the Beach Cities - Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo, and east/west connections to the Cities of Torrance, Lawndale and Gardena.

The WAVE is a paratransit service for senior/disabled residents of the cities of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach.  The WAVE provides shared-ride transportation to destinations within Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach and designated satellite facilities in adjacent communities of Manhattan Beach and Torrance.  The WAVE is a curb-to-curb Dial-A-Ride service providing same day service, Advanced reservation service, Subscription service and group service.
