Free Outdoor Yoga

February 14, 2023 

Free outdoor yoga sessions take place every second Saturday of the month 10am to 11am at the iconic Redondo Beach Pier, Fisherman's Wharf. The event provides an opportunity for attendees to connect with the great outdoors and engage in some physical activity while enjoying the beautiful ocean views. Participants must bring a yoga mat, towel, and water. All skill levels are welcome, so whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a beginner looking to try something new, you are welcome to participate.

The class is held at the west end of the pier and it's important to note that the location and schedule are subject to change, so be sure to check the Redondo pier website for updates. The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot. 49th Annual Festival of the Kite

February 14, 2023 

The Festival of the Kite is set to be one of the most exciting events to take place in Redondo Beach on Sunday, March 12, 2023. The festival, which will be held at the Redondo Beach Pier, Fisherman's Wharf, promises to be a day of entertainment, fun, and activities for all ages.

The event is free to the public, and attendees can expect a lively atmosphere, with a DJ and live music providing the perfect soundtrack to the day's festivities. But the real star of the festival will be the colorful kites that will fill the skies, as kite enthusiasts show off their skills and compete for prizes.

In addition to the kite-flying competitions, attendees can also participate in the popular Craig's Hot Dog on a Stick eating contest. The festival also includes sponsor giveaways.

Sportsfishing Pier

February 13, 2023 

Due to recent storm damage the Sportsfishing Pier is scheduled for an emergency demolition for safety reasons.

Demolition will include dive operations at the pier and pier demolition with crane on pier, as well as crane barge operation from 27 February 2023 through 25 May 2023. Barge operation is anticipated in early May and will be a 60’x70’ crane barge. This work will be conducted during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Crews will start work around 6:00 am and complete work before 5:00 pm. Mariners are advised to use caution when transiting the area.


Boardwalk Skate Park

February 13, 2023 

Construction is underway for the new skate park on Pad 10 in the International Boardwalk, and is expected to be completed early April 2023.


Hand Launch Closed Due to Storm Damage

January 24, 2023 

Due to storm damage, the hand launch is closed until further notice. During this period, visitors can launch hand carried personal watercraft from the Redondo Beach Marina. The ramp is located south of the boat hoist crane structure.
