Information to run for City of Redondo Beach Elected Offices:

All candidates for elective office must be registered voters in the City of Redondo Beach.  The City Charter requires candidates for all elective offices shall have been a resident of the City for at least 30 days immediately prior to the date of such filing.   

The Mayor shall be elected from the City at large and shall serve for a term of four (4) years and until his successor is elected and qualified.

The City is divided into five Councilmanic districts.  The City Charter requires that candidates for City Councilmanic Districts shall be registered to vote at an address within the District and have been a resident of that District for at least 30 days immediately prior to the date of such filing. 

All candidates will be required to file an Affidavit of Eligibility declaring, under penalty of perjury, that he/she meets the required qualifications for the office being sought.  The Affidavit must be signed in the presence of the City Clerk, Chief Deputy City Cler or a Notary Public.
