Purpose
Consists of 3 Members; 3 Alternates. The Board shall hear and decide appeals taken from any order, notice and order, or any action or determination of the City’s Building Official which is appealable under the provisions of the codes described in Section 2-20.01 of this chapter. The Board shall have no authority relative to interpretation of the administrative provisions of said codes nor shall the Board be empowered to waive requirements of said codes. All board decisions shall be final and conclusive as to the building division of the City, in the absence of fraud or abuse of discretion. The Board shall adopt regulations establishing procedural rules and criteria for carrying out its duties. Ord. 2687, c.s., Adopted 4-6-93
Qualifications
Consists of 3 regular members and 3 alternate members. 1 member shall be a state-licensed architect; 1 member shall be a state licensed civil or structural engineer; 1 member shall be a state licensed general contractor, who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction, who are not employees of the City and who are electors of the City. Alternates must have the same qualifications.
