The City of Redondo Beach is located in the South Bay part of Los Angeles County, which is in the southwesterly portion of the State of California. The City’s population has been slowly growing in the past decade.  According to the 2020 Census, the population as of July 2020 was 68,918.  In the 2000 Census the population was 63,261. The minimal net gain in population of 5,657 over the 20-year period reflects the fact that the City is primarily a residential (mostly built-out) and recreational community with a median household income of $123,874.
